Zardoz Base Coat

Can you remember the good old days when men were men and the ski wax came in a pack containing 4 solid blocks of wax? Each had a different colour for use in varying snow conditions, and you stuck your pecker in the snow to determine which one to use. Well that's how we used to do it in Yorkshire anyway! Only joking, actually we've still got some of that wax, problem was it took an age to rub the stuff into the soles of your skis, and you developed arms like Popeye in the process, only to find at the end of your first run it had all gone. God knows how a snowboarder would cope with that, probably spend happy hour in the bar then 2 very "unhappy" hours in the boot room plastering the stuff back on. Things move on though and last year we tried some wax in a pad and Brian the Boarder tried some spray on wax which was a touch more costly but easier to apply, both appeared to work OK but it still did not stay on too long. So this year we are trying this stuff (Zardoz Base Coat), it's not wax at all, it's pure Teflon and is supposed to stay on for up to 2 days depending on the snow conditions, and you can if you wish use it over or under a normal coat of wax.
