Hello Brian,There are a number of devices that could fit the description of what you saw, but I think it was probably a Snow-Scoot, here is a picture of georg with his in 2005, you will find the manufacturers web-site in the general section of our "Links Page" under Snow Scoot, you will also find some fun video footage at Snowscoot-mag.net.
