Indian Rope Trick

Hi Skibikers,
If you read the Hints & Tips page of our website you will have seen an article entitled "The Indian Rope Trick. "The article describes a more comfortable and safer way of negotiating a Tee Bar on a skibike, rather than the more traditional way of having the Tee Bar's pick behind your posteria, and being dragged to the top of the hill standing up. The technique we recommended requires the use of a metre or so of light weight rope, the sort you would hang your clothes on to dry, we call it clothes line in the UK.
OK so you think that Tee Bar's are outdated and obsolete, and you will never use one, well maybe they are, we are not great fans of them either, but for those short 500 metre or so links to the next major linking run they are ideal and they will probably never be replaced by the lift companies until absolutely neccessary. There are now very few such lifts in Hinterglemm but one of them is essential if you wish to do the complete ski ciruit. The technique for "The Indian Rope Trick" is a simple one but we have never managed to capture it in use, this year however Brian the Boarder did just that.
Many thanks Brian.
